26th Annual Women's Studies Conference
"Interconnections
in Women's Studies:
Teaching and Learning"
University of Wisconsin-Waukesha
November 2 - 3, 2001
Come to learn about and share successful methods and strategies
for improving teaching and diversifying curriculum in Women's
Studies and for bringing Women's Studies into the general curriculum.
Educators, activists, and students will come together to share
experiences, techniques and successes in creating student-active
learning environments in interdisciplinary and diverse contexts.
Designed to be a useful conference for those already associated
with Women's Studies Programs, it will also serve those working
to expand Women's Studies and Gender Studies in other curricular
areas and beyond the classroom. The conference will also include
the 7th Annual Women of Color Award Ceremony and Reception to
honor women from UW System campuses and communities, as well as
a plenary on the progress of the UW System Initiative on the Status
of Women.
