The 16th Annual
Outstanding Women of Color in Education Awards

Annually each UW system institution is asked to identify at least one recipient of the UW System Outstanding Women of Color in Education Awards.  The honorees can be faculty, students, staff or community members who meet the award criteria.  In addition to acknowledgements by their home campus or institution, the honorees are invited to the annual UW System Outstanding Women of Color in Education Awards ceremony and for statewide recognition.  The award ceremony takes place in conjunction with the annual Wisconsin Women’s Studies and LGBTQ conference.  This year’s conference theme is The State-of-the-Art in Women's, Gender, and LGBTQ Studies:  Interdisciplinary, Intersectional, Global, and Comparative. The conference will be held March 25-26, 2011 at the Pyle Center on the UW-Madison campus. You may register online here.
